Overview

Shree Shree Utkarsh Samiti (SSUS) is a dedicated non-governmental organisation based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Since its inception in 8 February 2000, SSUS has remained steadfast in its mission to provide social rehabilitation and empowerment to children with special abilities. The organisation serves as a vital support system for children aged 6 to 18 years who navigate intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, and complex learning difficulties.
Our intervention strategy goes beyond traditional care. We implement activity-based learning to ensure that education is an engaging, hands-on experience tailored to each child’s pace. Central to our academic success is the individualised education programme (IEP), which creates a bespoke roadmap for every student.
Recognising that physical and communication barriers often accompany intellectual challenges, we provide therapeutic support, including occupational therapy and speech therapy. For those in our residential programme, we provide a safe, loving environment where hygienic nutrition and healthcare are prioritised. Our goal is to promote life skills, from basic self-care to vocational readiness, ensuring the children can lead self-reliant and dignified lives.
The success of our mission relies on a multidisciplinary team of experts and compassionate individuals. Guided by the principles of transparency and collaboration, SSUS continues to bridge the gap between societal neglect and meaningful inclusion, ensuring the best interests of the child remain paramount.
